Bhavana Balachandran is a very active South Indian Actress working simultaneously in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. Bhavana is born on 6 June 1986 in Thrissur, Kerala and is daughter of Asst. cinematographer G. Balanchandran Menon and Pushpa. Her original is Karthika, has one brother Jayadev settled in Vancouver, Canada.
She ventured into movies through NAMMAL by Kamal, opposite several newcomers like Siddharth, Jishnu, Renuka. The movie was a big success and won critical acclaim and several awards. Following success of NAMMAL, she got several offiers in Malayalam and acted with almost all top actors of the industry including Mammootty, Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Prithviraj, Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya & Dileep. She became part of all the successful movies that were releasing in 2003 – Chronic Bachelor, CID Moosa, etc. She got state award and Film Fare Award for her role in Daivanamathil in 2006.
